So here we are in another year! 2013 is going to be a very diferent year for everyone, we all want to save money and have an easier lifestyle, how do we achieve that? Well one way is to relocate, get out of the "rat race", here in Bulgaria it is very stress free and easy living!
Things have changed here for example you no longer need to open a company to purchase a property, if your from the EU, this makes it even easier to buy here.
Long hot Summers and many expats to meet and greet, BBQ's and parties or if you prefer you can just live quietly. Still everyday things are a lot cheaper than in the UK, a pint of beer is 75p, bread is 40p a loaf and road tax a mere £30 per year! Even the local house tax is much cheaper it can be around £10 or maybe £35 per year depending on your house.
I am finding more people are looking to relocate to Bulgaria now, and even better the local people are wanting to sell at fair prices, so a bargain all round.
Why don't you think about the benefits of living here in Bulgaria compared to where you are right now?
I have many properties for sale, but I really do not like to put too many on here, contact me with your requirements and I will let you know what is around and how much work is going to be needed. I have a great contact list of builders, plumbers and carpenters so you'll never need to feel it is going to be hard work for you.
Some people buy through me and go on to live thier life here and I may only see them a couple of times a year, others stay in touch and we become firm friends, it's up to you.
This is the best time of the year to come and see what could be for you......The sun is shining the trees and flowers are starting to bloom, come on over and visit.
Welcome to my site.
I am now working independantly locating properties for buyers, who are looking to relocate around Veliko Tarnovo, Resen, Hotnitsa areas. Working on their behalf, I can access far more properties and select only ones suitable to my clients thus cutting down time spent looking at non suitable abodes.
I live here with my wife Sally, and son Shane, (our daughter Teri, lives in Swindon Wiltshire.) in a large village called Resen, just north of Veliko Tarnovo. We enjoy a stress free lifestyle that we could only imagine whilst living in the UK., long hot sunny summers and cold snowy winters.
There are quite a few Brit’s within a few kilometers of us, but mostly we talk to our Bulgarian neighbours, slowly, as we do not speak fluent Bulgarian yet! The local people are very friendly and will often pass you small gifts like fruit and Rakia (local home made whiskey) We for our part return their friendship with home made cakes etc.
Our British friends are great, we meet up quite often to help each other with new products found, or general information we have gathered. Sometimes just for a coffee or beer!
I have found that many British come here looking to buy property, but do not know where to start. I have a few key questions that I like to ask, this gives me a real insight to what they are looking to achieve. As I have been through the process and now know the pitfalls, hopefully I can save others the heartache and stress of searching for the right property.
I can help with all the details required in buying property here, from setting up bank accounts to opening your company, this is required when you buy a house with land. I can source any kind, from land/apartment/house/office even hotels.
Let me know how I can help you.
If you have any questions about my service I can provide you with names and email address's of previous clients who would be happy to tell you more about me and the level of service provided.
Please read all the "post's" on my blog, at the bottom of each page you can click a button for "older post's" this just means "go to the next page". You should find a lot of useful information contained here. If you feel the need for anything else please let me know and I will be happy to oblige.

Buying and Selling.
This week has been another good week for both buyers and sellers here in Bulgaria. I have seen several new properties for sale and the great news for buyers is that the prices are very realistic now.
The standard of property is getting better and I have been surprised again by how nice some of them actually are.
I must still warn people about how they buy houses here, I have met a couple who bought off of ebay who did not have any information given to them about what is the correct way to buy or what to do next, all the agent wanted was the money. We hopefully have now put them on the right path and have set thier minds at ease. Let's hope they can enjoy what they have bought soon.
Please do read my site thouroughly as there is a lot of information that you do need to know about, then contact me and we can set about your purchase here properly.

Properties for sale.
I am sometimes asked if the properties listed on here are all I have. Well the answer is "No!" I have a lot more to offer, the idea is for you to take a look at the kind of property avalible here in Bulgaria. Email me and tell me what you are actually looking for, this way I can offer you exactly that.
Most agents list all of thier properties and hope that someone will like the look of one and contact them to view, this does work, but I feel that a lot of the properties are similar here, so you tell me your "must haves" and if it is an attached stone barn for example, then I will offer that to you or go and source one.
Many agencies in Bulgaria have closed down due to the world recession, this just keeps the better, stronger, ones. Then some people who think they can sell properties have opened up, unaware of what they are actually doing, or even how to do it legally. Make sure you are using an agent who understands all the laws and ways of business in Bulgaria, it could be a costly experience if you make a mistake.
Finally, we have enjoyed 4 years here now, I am often asked what we miss from the UK, I can say it is Mature Cheddar Cheese, and Tetley tea, not much else! Once you start living to the Bulgaria way of life and eating the lovely fresh food here, why would you miss anything from the UK.
Come and sample our life style, I think you will not be wanting to get on the plane home after two weeks holiday here..

Orphanage
I would like to take this oppertunity to thank all those people who have sent over clothes and toys for the local orphanage that we support. I managed to get down there last week and they are so pleased to see the new stuff.
If you have any clothes up to the age of 4, cot blankets or toys that you reguard as in good condition and clean and you can get them here to me, then I would be only too pleased to pass them on.
Sally is knitting jumpers, scarfs and cot blankets, the children really do benefit from these items.
So again thank you to all those of you who do take the trouble to help.

New Year.
Happy New Year to you all. Thank you to everyone who has sent us the same wishes for this year.
I am slowly getting back into the swing of work again after a quiet December, well quiet work wise. We drove over to the UK and stayed for 10 days and then drove back, just in time for Christmas here. We are very grateful for the help and assistance of our good friends who look after our animals and keep an eye on the house whilst we are away.
Christmas was quiet for us, this year was the first time without our children or family around us, that is one reason we had an early xmas day when in the UK, with both Sally's family and my own.
So, back to this year, it is now time to go ad get your raod tax paid for. This year they are different, they are going to write the reg number on the sticker as some people have been changing them from car to car in the past. Your current road tax is valid until the end of the month, but don't forget it.
It is also time to start thinking about your year end accounts, they must be submitted by March, I can arrange help for anyone who requires it, the cost has not been confirmed as yet, the results are also required to be listed on the commercial register.
This year will be interesting to see how many people have not re-registered thier company, some think they have done it, but I have heard reports of some issues that will come back to haunt some people.
Remember to keep your headlights on and check your winter tyres, drive safely.
I am now getting more enquiries from the UK from people who are thinking of relocating to Bulgaria, the rise in VAT and the way the UK is going is driving people abroad.
